The Financial Aid Office at Florida Career College will work hard for you if you need help paying for your path to a better career. Education can be affordable for almost everyone, and FCC’s financial aid advisors and planners are your best resource when it comes to the scholarships, grants, and programs available today. Check out some of the federal and state programs below:
- The Federal Pell Grant is awarded to undergraduate students without a degree. These grants do not have to be repaid and eligibility is determined based on the information contained in your student aid application. The amount of aid depends on your index of need based on expected family contributions.
- Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG) is for U.S. citizens and residents who completed a Rigorous Secondary School Program of Study in high school after January 1, 2006. Grants of up to $750 are awarded for the first academic year and up to $1,300 for the second. Awards from an ACG do not have to be repaid.
- The Federal Work Study Program allows qualified students to work and earn money to help pay for their education. Community service and part-time work related to a student’s course of study is encouraged. An application can be made through the financial aid department.
- The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program is for Florida high school graduates who have demonstrated high academic achievement. These students can enter this lottery-funded program. FloridaStudentFinancialAid.org can help you find out if you’re eligible for this award.
