    The Philosophy

At Florida Career College, we have a strong belief that good training is the main factor in achieving personal success. There are four pillars that make up our philosophy:

    1. Post-secondary education must be able to meet the ever-changing needs of the industries that graduates wish to enter.

    2. Every student is an individual and should be treated as such. In this way, each can be nurtured to reach his or her highest potential.

    3. The college has an innate responsibility to provide a well-rounded education to its students, in turn making them competitive for their entrance into career of their choice.

    4. At Florida Career College, we believe that each student shares the responsibility for his or her own success. Students must be willing to participate in the learning process and take on professional growth opportunities as they arise.

    The Mission

A school’s mission is the backbone of its institution. At Florida Career College, our mission is to successfully prepare graduates for new career opportunities. We strive to offer students education in areas where career options are viable. We work to create a positive learning environment where every student is recognized as an individual with unique goals and work to utilize diverse teaching methods from a quality and caring professional staff.

Florida Career College’s mission is to stay on the forefront of education advances, offering essential support to our students and graduates. At its core, the mission of our school is to prepare students to become lifelong learners.

The mission and philosophy of an academic institution say a lot about the quality of education it works to provide. If you’d like to learn more about Florida Career College’s philosophy or mission, then contact us at (954) 357-0372.

A Guide to Applying for Financial Aid

    Last updated 3 years ago

Paying for school can seem like quite the challenge, especially when it comes to wading through financial aid forms. However, finding funds doesn’t need to be an insurmountable task. Follow this guide for a smooth financial aid application process:

The first step to receiving aid is to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA. The FAFSA uses your financial information to look at your income and need and is essential to getting scholarship, grants, and loans. Even if you are confident you will not qualify for federal aid, you should still submit this form, as many schools require a FAFSA to be filed before considering you for grants and scholarships. This application requires your tax information or, if you are under 24 years old, your parent’s tax information. The federal loans you can obtain through your FAFSA often offer lower interest rates than the private student loan sector.

    Private Student Loans

Private student loans are another type of aid that can be a good way to cover the cost of school. They can be used to pay for tuition and fees, books, supplies, and living expenses. If you decide to use student loans, then you are typically not required to make payments on your loans while you are enrolled in school and taking classes.

    Grants and Scholarships

Grants and scholarships are awarded to students based on need or merit. Unlike student loans, as long as you fulfill any requirements attached to the award, repayment is not required. A large variety of organizations offer many grants and scholarships to students of all types. Visit your school’s website or look for scholarship search engines to find scholarships and grants for which you may quality.

Seeking financial aid can be a complicated task, but if you seek aid early, then you will find the funding you need quickly and efficiently. If you have additional questions about what financial aid you may qualify for, then contact Florida Career College at (954) 357-0372. Our technical college offers training in fields such as HVAC, information technologycosmetology, and more.
